After a long time away I'm back

So beta test me up! Amiga Pegasos II user and English translator and all round "point out annoying things that are still in german in the game and have been since the very beginning".

On that note - these two German bits have been in the game since before I left -

Stats screen. Categories list on right when empty reads "keine kategorien ausgewahlt."

Specialists screen. Free and Hired lists both read "keiner" when empty.


All your info windows are in German only. Needs English translation.

And going back to the beginning - when installing the latest update the install window states "Please read the licence agreement in the window above carefully." but no such window appears.

Also - the English Licence doc is spelt "license" which is the wrong version - it should be "licence" so I would name it "LicenceEnglish" if it were me.

That's a start for you!

At ToT client 0.58R2 we translated many German text (starting screen, map, market place, ...). These "bugs" should be fixed at the next public ToT client v0.59. It would be nice if you can check the text after the next release. I'm sure that we didn't fix them all

Personally I'm happy to see that you play on an Amiga system. Do you use AmigaOS 4 or MorphOS for playing Tales of Tamar?

Btw if you want to become betatester (again) then you have to wait until your forum account is connected with your realm. It's possible to give you the beta tester state but the server will remove this state later. Because this fact it is necessary that Wolfen changes the state at your ToT realm.

That sounds good....I mentioned those two in-game items before I left before (2007 according to the forums lol) and they are still there. So if lots of things are now translated then superb! I sorted out the majority of the English translations in game and in documents in the early days so in a way it's good to be back hehehe.

This is a Pegasos II and its MorphOS on it.

Oh - and I was glad to hear TOT had a new programmer to aid Wolfen Welcome on board.

regarding betatest/forum name - that's cool - you know about the email I sent to Jens then?

well, here's a good one for you - twice now TOT has hung on the map screen, requiring a reboot to do anything!!

I shall look into it further....

Ahhhhh it's my old friend the random map hang. Seems to happen quite at random and mucks things up nicely. I now have a map that shows only the base starting fields while I have three scouts out and about in "undiscovered" country. And debug.txt shows......nothing! :} Just like in the good ol' days lol.
