I never said I had a corn shortage, now did I? Only in my very first year, I complained about the harvest.
And how do you wanna know if I have gold or not? It was always touch and go because of my many armies.
Oh, yes, and do become a vassal to one of the old lords. It is always better to choose the old evil instead of the new and improved one, now isn´t it?
Become a slave of an old lord if you wish. After they declared war on me because I am attacking the small ones (to bad you all didn´t have scouts here to see the truth), they will take my land and my cities, take some fo themselves and you might get some tablescraps. Good deal.
And to the old lords who wish to attack me: How about picking on someone your own age and size? I hear a collective "Oh, no, I don´t have the guts for that and since it´s a fair fight, I may just lose"

What are you complaining about? From what my scouts tell me, your young empire is of considerable size already, and you already have more land and towns than a number of much older lords. Surely you realise that with a large empire comes a need to defend it, and that one should not expand beyond one's capacity to protect one's land?
Like it or not, you seem ripe for the picking: a lot of land, hence a lot of booty, and a relatively weak lord defending it with no powerful allies. I don't know about anyone else, but when I pick a fight I'd much prefer to have an overwhelming advantage rather than get bogged down in a "fair" scrap.
(and no, I'm not sending soldiers to your lands, though I can see considerable armies moving in your direction already)
BTW, you should take the above as a final piece of friendly wisdom, because I can see you going the way of Lord Torkan if you keep to the road you're on.

@Old lords that wish to attack me: You all think/say that I lie about, well pretty much, everything. Then I will give you a little food for thought. Remember that I said that I have no liege lord? Yesss? So, was that also one of my lies? Well, if I had one, then we wouldn´t be so stupid as to say so here.
So, imagine, if you will, what would happen if you attack me. He would take it as an attack on himself and attack my attackee(s).
He himself would not be attacked because you are all afraid to do so and this would be the perfect and only opportunity to enlarge his realm besides launching an attack of his own what he will not do because he could lose support.
It has happened before, it will happen again, it´s only a question of when.
So, maybe I will die and maybe not, but it´s good to know that you wont live for long afterwards. So, do you want to take the chance and take an active part or rather stay hidden and supply my enemies?
