Request for Support

Venerable People of Tamar,

we're making progress in colonising our little land at Tamar and "Portius
Itus", our capital city, grows constantly. Unfortunately, this is the reason
why we run into problems. Our resources rapidly diminish whereas the
costs to maintain the infrastructure rise steadily. Hence, with a rapid
growth of population, such that tax revenue adequately increases to
compensate for the maintenance costs, our acreage of wheat, corn or
grain is insufficient to sustain a reasonable nutrition.

For the time being, we have decided to choose the way which is currently
best for our people, that is, we care more about the harvest than about our
financial situation. Of course, in the long term, we have to find a solution to
our problem, especially, as the supply of grain seems to be jeopardised as
more and more corn rots with each grain harvest. We don't have a clue why
this happens. We got reports about too few mills or granaries but the caste
of the Druids, the Intellectual Force, studied the capacities of each mill and
granary and concluded that these reports must be wrong.

We assume, in the meantime, our little realm has become too big for only 7
acres of land. Last Summer, we even got a report about too few fields to sow
all the seed and a need for more land.

For this reason, we're requesting support from the people of Tamar.

1) To get a little bit more gold, we'll offer some grain on the market
place this season, thus, we can stretch the time period before being
unable to pay for the maintenance of the buildings, the workers etc.

2) We're looking for free land. Unfortunately, we're living on an island
with no free acres and we don't have ships to leave the island. Could
someone take our only scout to another island where he could found a
new Eburonean colony if possible?
