ToT startet nicht mehr

Moin moin,

nachdem lange Zeit ToT bei mir Rund lief stehe ich nun vor einem etwas dickerem Problem:

ToT startet nicht mehr, der Bildschirm fadet um ins schwarte, dann stürzt der Client ab - hierbei spielt es keine Rolle ob ich mein eigentliches Spiel starten will oder ToT neu installiert habe und in den jungfräulichen Clienten einsteigen will....

...von gestern zu heute wurde nichts am System verändert - lediglich am *Dienstag* die neuen Updates von Apple geladen...

Hi Markus,

versuchs bitte einmal mit Programme/Dienstprogramme/Festplattendienstprogramm und dort "Zugriffsrechte überprüfen/reparieren".
Nach OS-Updates kann es schon mal vorkommen, dass die Zugriffsrechte geändert wurden.
Vielleichts liegts daran.

Claudia hatte dieses Problem mal und ich konnte nichts anderes machen, als von Hand die Daten aus TOT\Game\Name\Jahr\*.* nach TOT\ kopieren.

Der Grund war mir allerdings nicht klar.

Hy Jochen,

ich habs mal drübergejagd, obwohl ToT nach dem Update ja noch einwandfrei lief, hat leider nichts gebracht - ich bekomme auf diesem Rechner ToT nicht ans laufen.

Hab das Spiel nun vorerst auf den alten Rechner (G4) geschoben, da funktioniert es zumindest... Trotzdem würde ich es gerne wieder auf meinem Hauptrechner hier laufen haben, der andere Rechner ist nur "notweise" aufgebaut.

Hy Martin,

hab das ausprobiert, alle Spielrelevanten Daten einzeln kopiert, Rechte auch via Terminal geprüft/neu gesetzt - ToT will nicht

Merkwürdig ist ja das auch ein komplett neues ToT ohne irgendwelche Spieldaten von mir auch nicht startet.

Hallo Markus,

Du mußt bevor Du ToT neu installierst erst das Reciept von ToT in /Library/Receipts löschen.
Erst dann hast Du eine Neuinstallation.
Ich glaube dann hast Du auch keine Probleme.
Eine Frage nebenbei, hat der Rechner einen Duallprozessor?

Hy Giannis,

hatte vor dem Neuaufspielen von ToT nichts mehr vom "alten ToT" übrig gelassen, alles was nur in irgendeiner Art ToT-relevant war hatte ich gelöscht - weil ich dachte/hoffte das nur eine Datei aus welchem Grund auch immer defekt sei...

Das ganze ist mir ein wenig arg rätselhaft, kann auch beim besten willen mich nicht entsinnen noch was weiter am System geändert zu haben...

Nein, ist ein Core-Solo - das Core-Duo-System war mir zu dem Zeitpunkt zuviel Geld...

Hallo Markus,

mein Rechner ist immer auf dem letzten Stand, was Apple Software angeht.
An dem Softwareupdate kann es nicht liegen.
Allerdings ist im letzten Update iTunes und Quicktime aktuallisiert worden (entsprechend auch audio und video relevante Dateien), mit diesen giebt es wohl manchmal Probleme, aber nach einem Systemneustart läuft ToT normal.
Du solltest während einer Neuinstallation dir das Instalationsprotokoll des Installers ansehen!!
Villeicht gibt es dort ein Problem!

PS: Das löschen der Daten hillft nicht. Du mußt das Receipt löschen!!!

Moin moin,

nat. meinte ich das ich auch diese Datei entfernt hatte - Install läuft ohne Probs - das ToT von diesem Rechner läuft auf dem anderen rund, rein theoretisch sind die Rechner identisch - immer selben Updates eingespielt.

Elementarer unterschied: Ich sitze an einem Intel-Mac, mag ja sein das da in einem Updatepaket ein Bug drin war - iTunes rennt seit dem Update alles andere als stabil - am PPC scheint es keine Probleme zu geben.

Ist nat. die Frage in wie weit ToT da auf Dinge zugreift die ersetzt wurden...

Gut, aber eigentlich lief ToT nach dem Update noch *glaub*

Ich wüßte just nicht was ich noch versuchen soll... Rechte auf der HD geprüft, Spieldaten per Hand reinkopiert, alles ToT relevante gelöscht, ToT neu eingespielt... x-mal danach noch Rechte geprüft.

Muß ich - wohl oder übel - mich erstmal für den Spielzug immer am G4 klemmen.

Wie ganz oben zu erlesen ist, scheint es hier ein Problem mit einer OS-Funktion zu geben. Eventuell hat sich da bei Intel-Macs entwas geändert.
