To Lord Biffordicus

Beitrag von Beliana »

Dear Lord Biffordicus,

at least the last two quarters your troops are taking my land! In Autum 549 the land 228/27 now in Winter 549 the land 230/33. Withdraw your troops and keep distance to my borders otherwise you will get in trouble. I will send troops to get my lands back.

And again!

Now, in Spring 550 your troops are taking my Ruin on 230/32. My troops are on their way to take back my land from you - maybe I should send them farther in your land and see, if you will find it ok that they take your land as well?

Lady Beliana,

Why do you send word via a 3rd party tavern where drink but rarely!? It has taken far too long for this message to reach me and bring about your concerns.

A private message sent to me directly via our scribes would have reached me almost instantly and have been much more professional and personal of you. Admittedly if I had ignored that message then you would have been justified in airing your dirty laundry in public in the tavern.

As it is - this is purely a case of me trying to keep my boarders tidy and you haveing so much land that you do nothing with that I thought you would not miss a couple of acres of land that is desert anyway and sticks out untidilly into my otherwise neat boarder.

If you wish i shall pay you in gold or goods for the keeping of these desert acres. Though their cost is minimal I am open to negotiations.

As for the ruins - I took this over mearly as a precautionary measure - we all know the undead are ammassing and like to take hold of ruined towns to debase as they will. By taking control my armies are that much closer and more able to defend it. But of course if you can do a better job then that acre I willing conceed back to you with my appologise.

Yours in the Tales.

Lord Biffordicus.

Lord Biffordicus,

what I do (or not do) with MY land is only my concern.

If you had ask BEFORE, the chances were very high, that I had given you this land for free or for a little fee as I have done before to other Lords and Ladys.

So my troops will take back my land and take care, that your troops stay on your land and behave well.

You have your land back. Come no further!

War is an ugly word and one which neither of our kingdoms relishes, so turn back now the majority of your force, but leave two honour guards in place, but stationed back one acre of land from my borders.

It still remains that you should have brought this matter up in private via our scribes. Therefore I decree that ANY bloodshed shall be on your hands alone and I and my people are absolved.

Lord Biffordicus.

Dear Lord Biffordicus,

what happens to you and your people? In summer 557 my troops told me of your watching troops at our border and now, in autumn, they told me, your troops are gone, your cities are ruins, your land is deserted!

Irritated

From the Chamberlain of Lord Biffordicus who had returned to his former land to search for a lost item in the ruins of the town and happened to see your question posted ont he local tavern wall:

My Lord had many a vexing troubles weighing on his mind and so he took his entire retinue on holiday to a distant cousins for a week. Upon his return he discovered that bandits had destroyed his castle and ruined his crops and so he garnered whatever provisions he could, rounded up as many of his peasants as would still come with him and returned henceforth back to the aforementioned family whereapon he was settled in the palace there as a dignitary.

I think that being just another court member, rather than a King suits my Lord quite well and he certainly seems happier without the stresses of ruling on his shoulders.

May all those nearby fight well for his land.

Nevyn, the Chamberlain to Lord Biffordicus.
