I cant start the client

Hi.

I have installed ToT on a Pegasos+MorphOS (the "9 feb" version of
MOS), but when I double click the icon it doesnt run. Some noises from
the HD, but then nothing at all happens. I have also tried to upgrade
to the latest version of ToT, but the same result.

Any hints for me?

Hello Brodin,

Maybe it dont show the screenmode requester.
Do you played on another system before ?

Push the ctrl button during start and choose
a screenmode...

Hi.

That is right, I have not played the game before, not on any system.

And it didn´t show a requester, so I will try the ctrl button when I get home from work today.

Guess this is kind of related, so I won't start a new thread.
I was cleaning up my HD the other day when I found some Tamar files including an incomplete installation of the demo. After completing it I tried starting the program but only got as far as the mode requester (which only shows one choice anyway). After I clicked OK the program either terminated or went to sleep, and nothing more happened.
I've got a 1200 with a 040 and 32 MB fastRAM. Any ideas?

Hi Won-Tolla,

tell me please with version of the client do you use. And if you try to use the debug client, what does the log said.

Do you use a usb stack ? Two weeks ago i found a bug in ToT which let the client not start if you use a usb stack. In this case you need the latest beta-version of the client.

According to Version it's TOT-Demo1 V0.29 Release 1
And I'm using Miami 3.2b with a plain modem.

Hi Won-Tolla,

Ok, thats a VERY old version of ToT. Please dont use it anymore. Try to get a new demo version of ToT:

or buy the basis set. I am pretty sure that it will work on your system.

May be an idea to get it removed from Aminet then...
Anyway I spent about an hour downloading 12 MB, only to find that the new version doesn't work either.

Send me a log please. You can generate it with the debug-version in the same directory.

ToT-Client-Debug >debug.txt

Do you use one of the new usb stacks ?

USB? That's that new PC interface thing, right? Haven't got one of those, only the interfaces the 1200 was born with. (Well, except for a Squirrel)
