sorry for the long post, but I'm a little verbose

I'm a OS4 user (still of prerelease 3, as I'm still downloading the
latest OS update!) and just signed on as a Tamar betatester; however
I'm having several problems with the latest Beta version (i.e. the
ones downloadable from www.tamar.net/e_files.html and marked as
Alpha/Beta Client Update).
My problems are some persisting graphical errors on buttons and
images, a couple of Grim Reapers on startup which seems however
possible to ignore, and the impossibility to access the Map page (I've
not made the registration yet, because there were also a couple of
problems with the Registration screen) as that brings another Grim
Reaper and there is no way to continue the game (the CD music keeps
playing and the mouse moves, but that's all).
I tried all kind of combinations between the Base CD set, its latest
public update, the Beta base archive, the Updated Beta version (the
one marked as V0.54 R1, although strangely if I run it in the Options
screen I get the message "V0.53 Rel. 15") and a further Client update
(TotClient.lha, version 0.54 Rel. 8 ) of which I found the link in the
forums (I can't speak German, but the thread seemed to refer to the
Grim Reapers when starting the game under OS4: I tried it and the Grim
Reapers actually disappear, but unfortunately the graphic problems
seem to get worse!).
I've saved a copy of all the Grim Reapers output, of the Debug.txt
file created in the TOT directory, of the SnoopDOS logs and when
possible I tried to launch the TOT-Client_Debug and logged the
outputs: if they can be useful please tell me where I should send
them. The best combination so far seems to be that one of the Base
Beta archive (V0.53 rel. 10); I was thinking I might use it just to
register and then see how the further update behaves while I wait for
any suggestions...
I'm wondering if there is any known issue with Tamar under OS4? I've
seen some reference in the forums, but unfortunately everything was in
German and I can't speak it (I think there was something said about
conflicts with Amidock and LimpidClock: I tried to remove them but
nothing much changed) ;-(
My system is an A1 XE with a 800 MHz G4, 512 MB of RAM and a Radeon
7000 video card.
Please help me, because I really can't wait to crush all your realms
under my feet

Thanks for your help and best regards,
Paolo Rinaldi
