Ok, before I unleash a starvation on my people...I better make this sure.
Seeing it's now Spring, I have put 10000 corn in my seeding stock, and 0 in my Granery stock, and the rest being fed to the people.
My question, will my people then starve after my next turn? Or will I miss corn for the summer turn (right now im counting on RECEIVING the corn in the summer turn)
Also, how much corn does 1000 seeds develop into ca.?

Lord Haymigga,
Fear not young leader, your harvest will return in the Summer and you will be able to feed your people then
As for how much to put in the seeding storages for the harvest - use the red marker. Fill it to this marker (or just SLIGHTLY above it) and you've then put enough in for the harvest.
Provided you have enough Mills and Graneries to harvest/store enough grain for your people (which you will at this early stage) then you will get enough to feed your people
The actual amount you get back depends on many things, from the weather, the amount of graneries or mills, the amount of land you own to how much you put in for seeding in the spring.
Careful though, dont bother filling the seeding all the way up in hope of a massive return - it doesn't work that way. Use the markers as your guide for this.

Actually, with a new growing realm you will HAVE to fill above the red marker to continue growing. The marker only indicates the amount of seeding you need to feed your EXISTING population, but does not take into account any population growth you may have during the next seasons before your next seeding can be done.
Roughly speaking you shold sow at least 2000 units of grain for each mill you own. At low research levels (0 and 1) it's probably a good idea to sow a little extra, just to be safe.

I think i am screwed ;( ..
i cant get inflation , ie people to come to my town...tried everything , and i think the reason was that i mixxed up on the corn/grain issue.
changed my taxes now (to much lower) and keeped no grain in the grainry for this spring->summer turn...
i hope this will help me, if any can guide me to something better let me know.
i hate to be a beginner sometimes lol:)
cheers

Be carefull with taxes !!
If you set them too low, lots of people may come (and you may run out
of money), and you won't be able to feed them, resulting in a famine
and sinking trust level.
My advice:
Keep the taxes to what is suggested in the manual, and adjust them till
you are only slightly in the plus with people comming&leaving.
Now distrubute the corn in a way that allows you to feed till the next harvest
(don't forget to keep a small ration for the case of a bad harvest).
You will allways be trusted this way, and your finaces stay in shape.
Built atleast 2 graneries and 3 mills every year, till you reach 20 of
each. Building fater would only mean higher costs, but keeping a few
extra granaries will allow you top stay flexible with the grain.
