Greetings Lords and Ladies,

A recent discussion in the tavern and the current debate over the name of the riveron Nonakesh have reminded me of something I had hoped to raise previously with you all, the issue of names for places on Tamar.

Of course, most islands will be named, and indeed large land regions will probably get their own individual names too, but little mention has been made about other geographical features.

Besides the river on Nonakesh, we have the large central forest on the same island, and the mountain ranges to the southeast and to the north of this forest. There's the large lake to the southeast of Nonakesh and the three river channels that flow into the sea, separating Nonakesh and Endlömé from the rest of Elerion, not to mention the river flowing out of Elerion into the mentioned lake.

Large swamps also deserve names, as do larger lakes.

It would be best if all these areas were named by the people living there, but as yet we have no central repository for such names.

The Library of Babylon will be happy to host an indexed repository of such place names, but we will need an adjudicator for when consensus over the names cannot be reached.

Any volunteers?

With regards,
Captain Garibaldi of Babylon
