Alt-Tab Broken in R11

I've only been having this problem since using the new version (R11). I can alt-tab out of the game, but doing anything to get back into the game results in a black screen. I can alt-tab back out of this and force close ToT, but that's it as far as the game is concerned. Even worse, force closing ToT makes the debug output file unreadable. Notepad will hang, and Wordpad will only get to 20% loaded before restarting the load.

In some configurations, tabbing out and back into ToT can cause a black screen, which is redrawn when you move the mouse over it or change to another screen within the game.

Does the program react to "Esc"? Repeatedly pressing Esc should get you into the residence screen and then exit the program normally from there.

There is no reaction to anything. Not the mouse, not even escape. The only thing I can do is alt-tab or alt-ctrl-delete back out and force close the program. According to Windows Task Manager the program is still running, but it certainly seems to have locked up otherwise.
