Map characters

I've just recently started playing, I had a scout the first turn, I moved him around my town and used up all his movement points. The next turn he was gone, and I haven't seen him since.
It may because I'm new but do map characters go missing now and then? Was he attacked perhaps? I'm not sure what happened to him. Also how do I go about getting another scout so that I can continue to scout around my town.
Thanks
PS. I'd love to chat with any other English speaking players.

Hello darkgrove,
most of the players here would speak english if only someone wish that. So i can only advise to you, that you must only write something in english and everybody will answer in the 'common language', which is english called on tamar.
Maybe our english is not perfect, but we will do our very best.
For your scout: Normally he could not be away in the next turn. Is the land around your town still discovered (more then 7 hex, as the scout discover something if you move him) ?

Hello darkgrove,
i'm a bit frustrated too with all these german people
most of interested info here are in german and so remain useless
about your lost scout, are there not any possibility for the admins to give back some lost stuff in tamar (after data checked of course) ?

Hello darkgrove,
I'm a bit astonished your scout may be lost. This should not be possible.
Let me have a look at your data.
I need the two directories "Map" and "Data" packet to one archive.
Send the archive to
Godefroy@gmx.li
Kind regards,
Christian aka. Godefroy

Dont be frustated. Do something against that! We called english the common language because we wantethat everybody understand that english should be the normal language for understanding in tamar. But for the german players the problem is, that the english people dont tell very much until know.
Let us know what happened in your realms. Write us if you need something. Dont be afraid. Many Players will switch to english and you will see that month after month there will be more and more english speaking players. But one of you must make a start with it!

"Map" and "Data" are you talking about the encoded message I get in my email??
I apologize I'm still very new to the game and all its aspects.
As for those English speakers, you know how there was a German video download for the game. It ran about 40 min long or so and was an explanation of the many different aspects of the game. I followed along for a while but not knowing German fluently I just watched and sort of got an idea of what was going on.
It would be awesome if there was another one of those videos done in English especially for us newbies. Even if it had subtitles or something that would be cool. Just would be another great tool for bringing all of us together to play this great game.

Hey Darkgrove,
you've got a personal message.
You'll find things about map and data described there.
Subtitling the Video is indeed a great idea. I'm pretty sure we can do this.
Kind regards,

Well he showed up finally. It was more then likely my fault for not knowing how the game client works and I just probably sent info somewhere that screwed stuff up. Oh well. I think its all figured out now for the most part.
I appreciate everyones help and suggestions
