Tales of Tamar

I've just ordered my copy of TOT and am waiting for it to be
delivered. I've read up about the game and apparently what I'll
recieve is just the base package, and I'll have to download updates
that'll give more functionality to the game.

Sounds fair enough, afterall TOT will be constantly developing wont
it, so I decided to come here and get all the latest updates I'd need
so that when my base package arrives I can crack right on with
installing everything and end up with a full working game right away.

I can't seem to find any updates or anything like that, so I was just
enquiring as to wether there are actually any updates to TOT yet, or
wether the base set I'll recieve is all I'll need to get full game
functionality at this time.

Advice would be appreciated

I've got the same kind of question

I've just received the ToT SE CD (pegasos bundle) but I don't know
what version it is and if it needs to be updated...

I noticed the game crashed easily (in the prefs, when enabling
digibooster music for instance...)... Well, I don't have too much time
to try more ATM (exams !!), I guess I should update the game first.

(also I tried it on a board without April, that may be an explanation)

Ok, firstly this is just the forum
Try http://www.tamar.net/ then onceyour inside the site click on the Snake in the word Tamar - that'll take you to the place with downloads - however most of that stuff is for betatesters only and requires a password.

in order to get the Public release updates, when you have TOT and have registered and initialised it go into the Tavern, then into the Cella and download the latest update from there.

ATM its not self-installing (i think) so youll have to go into the TOT dir and find the downloaded file and unarchive and install that.

Hmmm, here I get strange pbs :

in the register part, when I type my first name and then enter, the
game hangs.

I enabled music & sfx, but it seems not correct (played too fast ?
gaps ? I'm not sure, but when I enter an AHI mode different from the
one by default, it hangs too)...

I used the lastest public cd update...

I don't know what's wrong.

I have learned that on the AmigaOS version you have to ramp up the HD
partition Buffer that your Game is on to avoid system crashes. This
may also be true of your MorphOS version?
