Tales of Tamar

Hi all!

Just thought I'd say I'm finally joining the game! It's been a while since I first heard of ToT (probably at the start of it's development), but my experiences with Planetarion put me off online strategy games for a long time. Now, after seing an announcement on Amigaworld that there would be new land available, and that I could try a few turns before paying, I decided to give it a go. And I'm actually getting quite excited about the whole thing. So much so that I've talked three other people into trying it out.

So, I hope we'll have some fun, and that you won't run over me with your vast armies too soon . I'll probably not be participating that much on these forums, as mein Deutch ist nicht wie gut, wie es einmal war (and it wasn't really that good in the first place), but I'll probably drop by from time to time.

Any other Norwegians here, btw? Or at least some other AmigaWorld familiars?

Thanks! I'll try and recruit some more if I get the chance . Looks like we're a minority for the time being, though.

I just saw the 3D screenshots, btw, they look awesome! I hope it will be in the Amiga version as well, my AmigaOne should certainly be powerful enough to handle it.

btw - do any of you know how to set up YAM so that it doesn't download the TOT-mails from my pop3-server?

Sorry, haven't looked into that...I use KMail most of the time (as I use Linux for work, and work has been occupying most of my time lately).

BTW, we will be at least four English newbies.

I've decided to say goodbye to Tamar for now. Technical problems, a very weak start, as well as a huge workload in real life limiting the amount of time I have to spend on games, are the main reasons for this.

Maybe I'll consider rejoining another time when new land is being made, but for now, I need to prioritize my time differently.
