So I was going to reequip my army. I removed all of their equipment, gave them sabres as a first weapon, slings as a second, and tunics for armor. Then I looked them over again and found that they had slings as a first weapon, nothing as a second, and tunics for armor. So I figure they can't have a melee and ranged weapon at the same time, and remove their slings, then click to give them back their sabres, to which I got a message box telling me I had too few. This shouldn't be, since I was able to equip them with sabres before, but sure enough I only had 19 sabres as opposed to my original 83. I checked my other army to make sure they hadn't somehow received them, but they hadn't. So just like that, 64 sabres vanished. As I don't have enough equipment to give them anything else but their original tridents, I can't test this again on this turn, but losing equipment to some void can't be a good thing.

I'm not really sure what happened, but judging from my experience I'd say you might have had not more than these 19 sabers or have given them accidentally to another unit. There is simply no case imaginable, where the first weapon would be replaced by another one, without a second weapon even choosen. So if the unit has sling as first weapon you have never given them sabers or there where only these 19, so they could not take them.

Please take out your backup an verify the number of sabers in stock and check wether another unit has got them as second weapon or so.

Just in case there is really an error and you can make this error occure a second time, you shoud send your Backup from just before the error occured and a short explanation how to make the error occure again to Lipsius. He will check wether he can proove this error. He will then tell you what to do next.

Pardon my ignorance, but there's a backup? Could you please tell me how to rewind my turn to the beginning?

I know I had enough to begin with since I was able to give the unit the sabres without the "not enough weapons to supply unit" message popping up. I also checked both my units just now and they both have tridents only.

I think, at the beginning of the game are only 1000 tridents at the stock.
No sabers should be available. Have you bought sabres before?

For the backups you must save the folders, data and map, as a zip- file every turn.

I bought sabres the same turn this bug happened from the left side of the marketplace screen.

I never heard that I had to manually backup folders before. It isn't stipulated in the "welcome to beta" e-mail I received, and I read through all the terms to registering. So I don't have a backup, apparently.
