Hi Michal

Sorry about this.....

First overview:

Did control the data folder cause of the file names (as written in the note for testers). Was all okay.
Then copied actual map/data to the new carbon folder and started up.
Whew...on the map screen it's very fast especially with activated borders....

But to the bugs:
-First time startet I had no sound, second time with sound, third time without, fourth time with, fifth time without....see it? Not with the classic.

- The "pointer-gfx-bug" is also carbonized - look at schreenshot - but a little bit different: this fault only happens if you move the mouse before a new screen has finished loaded and a second. This second long you can see this fault around yur pointer, then it diasappears. If you move your mouse after this time, then no gfx-fault is there. Also with the classic.

- Look at the map-screenshot: the town names are snipped at the border of an hexagon. Also with the classic.

- After exit ToT the desktop screen has sometimes the game-resolution and sometimes my normal-resolution (not reproducable). Not with the classic.

- Fatest bug: When I go into the "messages" screen and look at the battles: After looking to this "victory-or-loose-screens", exit with ESC to the battle screen, then ToT exists with no message. But now we have the logs of the system. I have copied it, look for the log into the bugrep.tot.rtf. Not with the classic.

This is the same message I sent to Michal directly with the files (bugreport and screenshots).

And I have to say: Very fast and smoother!

This was only a first overview, other things will follow....

There is no longer a requester stating any problems when I set ships to water. But after downloading a new turn these ships are deletet anyway. *sniff*

Kind Regards,

Maybe because the SHIP data are not sent to the server by a routine.

Michal, this one is history with 0.36.

BUT
It still exists. Sometimes it still happens. And I have also this "map-bug" which I discribed in another thread. I believe that this "map-bug" brings the game to crash after reenter the messages/battlesscreen. Cause last time it happened, the little map showed some sea hex's with a unknown ship and the undeads (nice gfx) on land.....

1. Quit from battle screen problem => could this be a problem of holding esc key too long?
2. Map-bug => please describe it more precisely.

No. if I hold it longer than needed, all screens are leaved as normal and the game closes: From battlescreen to messages to residence to quit....no problem. Tried it out for a few times without probs.

Ufff...very difficult. I need much more time to solve this. In the moment it seems to be unreproducable. With 0.36 the map seems to be more steady.
The crashs come with no warning and surprisingly. But it seems to me that maybe the clicking on sea hexs or undeads or dragons is more risky than clicking on normal land hexs. But I'm not sure....as said, unreproducable.

Hi,
1. Battle screen - on the to do list now. Hold on for a solution.
2. Map screen crashes - There was a bug in the map screen resulting in a crash when you selected topmost hex and then select some other. When the topmost's hex border was to be redrow the crash occured. Now in v036R2 it is fixed. Could this be this case?

Michal,

this could be possible, but not reproducable here. seldom crashs with it's like discribed by you.
