Greetings Lord Regloh,

My agents reported that you were no longer in residence and that your lands were in anarchy. A neighbour confirmed that his agents also report the same thing. As your lands are close to my capital, my troops were instructed to move in and restore order and security.

Since my agents are very reliable and the information is confirmed by a third party, only two possibilities occur to me: either you have been deposed without being informed, or the Gods are playing cruel games and have induced a mass illusion affecting me and my neighbour at least. If the latter is the case the Gods need to be informed immediately and asked to remove the illusion. I am of course willing to return your lands to you as soon as I am satisfied that you are still in control of your realm. I'm sure you can understand that anarchy cannot be allowed to rule so close to my borders.

Note that I have also sent you a private reply by carrier pigeon, and will tell my priests to consult the Gods.

Just a quick note to anyone who has been following this story, the mystery of what happened has been solved (old Lord Regloh had retired and news of young Lord Regloh's realm was slow to propagate).

The issue has been resolved privately and is now closed, as I am sure Lord Regloh can cofirm.
