My german is a bit rusty, so maybe I missed something, thus I'm here writing what happens when I start the game.
This happens both if I use ./tamar or ./go.sh to start the game.
I see a picture of a town - when I hover the mouse over certain parts of the town however if I click on any of these nothing happens. I've been trying almost every pixel around residence since I understand that is where I'm supposed to start.
How can I debug this, can I throw a start from scratch kinda cmd after the game or something similar?

Getting started?

roger
Just to clarify, the picture I start with is the city and not the residence as the manual would suggest.
I'm running gentoo linux with:
* sys-libs/glibc
Latest version available: 2.3.4.20040808-r1
Latest version installed: 2.3.4.20040808-r1
Size of downloaded files: 15,381 kB
and kernel 2.6.10-r6 if this is any help.
For any programmer debugging this, please mail me or reply to this thread and I'll do what I can to assist from here :)

Hi
Thanks for you activity. Sorry, for answering so late, but we are pretty busy right now.
The schedule for the Linux Version is, to have a running playable Linux Client at the end of Februar / start of March this year(2005).
I am not at my Workstation right now, so I cannot give you support on your problem. But I will when I come home, and find time for it.
From what I can remeber is, that the Version you are testing( it is pretty old) doesn't do much. It gives you the start screen (the one with the king), plays a few sounds. I am pretty sure you cannot click on one of the "action regions" to see something happen.
So please, be patient with us for a few weeks. Hopefully then you will have a Linux Client, which you can use to play Tales of Tamar.
Thanks
Anes

almost
Hi,
I'm looking forward to the new version :)

Not exactly, the screen with the king is what I understand is the "residence" region - however the screen you get is the "City" region. If the build is supposed to have sound it isn't working.
It is correct that you cannot change region - I actually thought I was supposed to be able to get to the residence and setup mail etc. :P
