Folks,
a question's been asked I don't know the answer to -

When does a turn have to be sent by? I know that I *usually* receive my turns at 11am (UK time) so I thought that I could send as late as say 10am the next morning.
But The other fella recons midnight German time which would be 11pm our time.

So whats true?

Cheers!
Keep the faith!

Sire,

from what I know the Tamar server runs all data at 11am UK time no matter when an how often the data arrived. So in theory everything should be fine if you send your turn at 10am UK time.

Cheers

Hmm, midnight seems a little early to me. The server collects the turns at 12 am CET. Thats 11 am in UK?
So you must make sure, that your turn is sent and received, before 12 am CET. You can send it of course even at 11 am CET. But the mail could hang around somewhere in the net.
Personally I send my turns at the afternoon of the day, directly after doing my turn. But there where days, when I forgot something and loaded the turn up at 11:30 am CET.
I think, it should be no problem, if you are sending a turn in the morning. But be aware of internet-jam.

I think the confusion comes from the 12am, 12pm usage.

In the UK, 12:15pm means a quarter of an hour after noon, so my guess is that when reading 12am, it is easy to make the assumption that actually means midnight rather than noon.

11:00am GMT sounds like the right time to me.

Hmm, then make things easy "am", "pm", who cares?
12 o'clock means noon, 24 o'clock is also 0 o'clock and means midnight.
Also we have at least two timezones. CET is GMT plus 1. So the server starts it's calculation at 12 o'clock CET, this is 11 o'clock GMT.
Last time to send a turn in could be 5 seconds before 11 o'clock GMT. But you never know, how long the mail takes to the server, and how correct is the time at your home and the servers onboard clock.
